Styled by Nordstrom's Anniversary sale

Once a year us regular folk are given a gift that comes directly from one of fashion's biggest players. They smile on us and say "here, go wild" and if you're any at all familiar with or privy to the world of fashion, then you know of whom I speak.

If you consider yourself to be a fashion conscious person…or, really, have any inclination about looking your best self whenever you go out…then you must know about Nordstrom’s annual Anniversary Sale. If you’re not, I may judge you slightly, but have no fear for I shall make attempts to fill an empty void.

Let me break it down for you in layman’s terms: the hottest trends for Fall on sale at great prices - and then go back up to full price once the sale ends on August 8th. The sale has become so popular over recent years that many of the best items have been known to sell out before they even make it back to full price. Translation? You’ve gotta act fast.

I’ve put together a few outfits to generate some shopping inspiration for you. This first look is all about athleisure (aka that sweatpants-in-public trend that I’m totally okay with keeping around for a while). The biggest trick to pulling off this look? Making cotton and polyester still look polished and put together. Note to all you guys out there: walking out of the house in your old hole-y sweatpants, a pit-stained t-shirt, and the sneakers you wear to cut the grass does NOT count as athleisure. This look is great for anything your weekend may have in store for you. The best part? We found items that are all under $100. Happy shopping!
